    It's quite uncomfortable to read a Loki story where he is sappy. It's painful to read, like you said he's dark and twisted, violent too so why would he be sappy? There can always be romance or love with a dark character just need to make that love dark and twisted too. There is all kinds of love and the sappy kind isn't the only version. I agree, he wouldn't want to be involved with someone that is weak. He would want to have someone by his side that is useful and can help with whatever he is planning, not a gentle creature and I highly doubt Loki would fall in love with a human since he despises them. If he did, he would be very abusive towards that girl in my opinion and show how humans are pathetic creatures as Loki likes to put it haha
