Okay, now that I've had a few days for all the events of Chapter 23 to sink in, I actually admire Nick for his decision. BUT, I don't understand how well it's going to work out. I mean, sure, they love each other now, and they're going to be friends. Well, that's all short term. What happens when they're older? Are they going to fall out of love (unlikely since both have been through so much crap and still tolerate and love each other after all that)? Or are they just going to deny themselves that love forever? I kind of agree with Evie. I don't think they can do it forever. It seems masochistic on their parts. And when they get married or whatever (okay, I know this is really far into the future for them), but even when they get into relationships, they still love each other. And that doesn't seem fair to not only both of them but for the people for their partners as well.

I know. I just went on a huge rant, but I'm confused as to where this friends thing will go forever. They still have time now, you know. But there will be a time when it's too late for either to claim the other. Once relationships with others evolve, it would be really selfish to finally be like "oh, I'm sorry, but I need you back."

Anyways, even though its not the end I thought it was going to be all cliche and Nick & Evie would be like together instantly.

& One thing that bobbles me is how can she be jealous of Demi? If Evie really loved Nick and if Nick and Demi were together, shouldn't she be happy for him? Unless she doesn't truly love him... -ponders-

i started BALLING when he asked her to be just friends.
and when nick said "... will you be my friend? my best friend?"
i was like "no, YOU CANT be her best friend!" really loudly. in like a baby voice.. (i guess cuz i was crying..)
i think cried from then on and until the end of the chapter. im still wiping tears from my face!!!!!!!!

Anyways, the past few chapters have been amazing! I'm glad you decided to go through Evie's POV. I wish I was friends with her hahaha. I'm sad that it's almost over though :(

Wait. You better make this a trilogy if the last chapter is the next one. I really will die I get an ending with Nick and Evie as friends. I mean, seriously!!!! You updated pretty quickly, so I didn't get a chance to say anything about Chapter 22. I really liked it, but since you said I was a big critic (which I took as a huge compliment by the way), I found the dialogue in the scene where she's telling her old friends she's not the same anymore a bit awkward. Her monologue about changing and stuff just seemed a bit unfitting for her character. However, I really liked the whole Jessie choosing between her and others thing. I hope you don't hate me for saying that. Because I just mean it in the nicest way possible. I write crap but I criticize harshly, and I hope that wasn't too harsh. Otherwise, I loved that chapter. Nick was so Nick. I expected him to react how he did, which was good. As for chapter 23, I guess it would be too easy and cliched for them to reunite as a couple again, but dang it. It broke my heart. It was like "we are so in love with each other but we're not going to do anything about it." Oh man. Nick's forgiveness is beyond me, and I agree with him. He can't really better himself when he's perfect.
As for Kevin's amiability towards Evie again, that was done well. He implied that they're not friends because she destroyed Nick, and once he realized she didn't, it was all well. Kinda.
Joe is Joe. And Kevin is announcing his sexuality in the next chapter. Or it's going to be known by some obscure little plot that you device up that I can't ever bear to imagine. But yeah. It can't end. I mean it can, but then I'll just pester you about what you imagine happening to them in the future.
