I only got told it by my english teacher at the end of my GCSE year (last year) so yeah...

yeah I dislike double spacing but i get reported if I don't so I always mention it to people.
The rest of it is just normal real life (as apposed to mibba) grammar rules

well there are two basic points where you have to start a new line

One when a new person talks

Harry smiled. "You look like a fool."
"Thanks." Ella grimiced

Two when a new person is mention excpet the person talking
so
Harry smiled. "You look like a fool."
Ella wiped mud off her dress and glared at him
"Thanks." Ella grimiced

So in your story it needs to be

“Please Mr. Logan, enlighten the class. What is so funny?” Professor Gore demanded the well fit boy who at the moment shown pink in the cheeks.
“Uh, n-nothing.” he looked down at his notebook, the same two words written down since the beginning of the hour. “Sorry.” he mumbled while picking up his pen.
Professor Gore sighed and went back to her well constructed yet unenthused lecture.

I hope that made sense, I don't have the best track record for explaining things well

oh and it's a mibba rule that you have to double space So just hit enter once for a new line and once for a space.
