:) hahahhahah Your post made me smile! :P
Actually im not really into edward cullen... (i hate twilight) and i really hate fake people. But I dont like people talking excessively about hating fake people.
I hope this makes sense.
Sorry but yeah. :P
I don't like labels or trends either. But, theyre always going to be around.
And okay, your opinion.
I see where you're coming from on the whole just label us humans.
But, the way you stated in your journal you stepped on many peoples 'toes'
Most people would say that the ability to sing, play guitar, drums, or bass IS talent. Maybe their STYLE isn't one of a kind. But there aren't very many singers or bands whose style is just their own.
And all 80s hair bands sound the same too. And 90s grunge bands. What is popular at the time is what defines a generation. That doesn't mean that the bands of the 80s, 90s, or now have no talent. They are just apart of the same generation, and are influenced by what is popular now.
Then let people be who they choose to be.
Let them do what you're telling them to do. Granted, a lot of people follow trends in a shallow way and do what they do to blend in, but there are some people who actually like what they're doing.
You're not making yourself look any better by bitching about people's choices. You don't know if somebody's trying to be someone they're not, but you're underestimating people, in general, by saying that they all are.
I'm sure that in the back of your head, while you aren't trying to impress them by following trends, you're trying to get noticed and be seen for your 'individuality'.
There's no 'original' section in a clothing store, but I don't see why that matters. Stores sell what's popular, and it's just clothes. Isn't personality what matters? You're actually being really shallow in putting so much focus on the stuff kids wear and listen to. People can still be original for liking something.
I'll say it againl in making such a big deal out of your originality, it would seem that you're trying to be original; trying to be different, and therefore...just as bad, if not worse. Yes, possibly worse, because you're preaching to and bashing people for something you're guilty of, yourself. At least those kids being 'labeled' are okay with who they are.
