I love your imagery and the portrayal of emotion dealing with love, security, fascination, and adoration.
I also love the details that convey exactly what his eyes hold, and how that relates to your characters.
Lovely Poem!

This poem really reminds me of something but it took me a while to figure out of what and why and I just realised of what.
Have you ever heard of the ''Flier'' myth ? The ''Flier'' was a mythical creature, a lot like a demon, an angel fallen from heaven , who would visit young girls at night and make them fall madly in love with him. And there is this poem about the Flier that starts just like your poem, with the girl talking with her mother, asking her what could be the matter with her.
Also it's charming how you've encaptured an other myth in your poem, that of the eyes being the windows to the soul. The girl is almost 'haunted' by the memory of the Irish Eyes. I would add here that that reminds me of an other poem, called ''The Evening Star'', I think I'm gonna find a link to it and give it to you so you'd read it, in that too the eyes of the ''Evening Star'' haunt the girl.
As stated before this is truly beautiful and amazing, and I'm just curious how did you came up with something like this during a biology class.

Ok, I know we're discussing your other poem right now, but as soon as I saw you had a new one up I had to read it.
I don't know which one I liked better, this one or Crystal. This was beautiful as well and you have such a way of writing down the right words and never getting redundant and boring. Truly beautiful and magnificent- you have a gift!

Oh wow, I liked this poem. I liked the way you described the Irish Eyes, and how the person will always be protected by them. I thought it was really good.
