I like how tells a story, it's great. But maybe more detail why both of them changed from fire to ice and vice versa? ;) Just a suggestion you don't really need to take if you like it the way it is.

The grammar is well presented, the content bored me slightly, was your intention to make it a song? If so the mundane repetition may work.
