• That you solemnly swore to keep
Haha. That made me think of Harry Potter. (I solemnly swear that I am up to no good!) Ahem. Moving along…

Not with ink nor with blood
But with the chemicals of your own heart
To show how true your promise was?
Oh my gosh I love this times a billion. I think it’s just so artistic and fluent by talking about making a promise with chemicals. UGH. I don’t know why I love it so much but I do. Really.

To trust with your whole heart
The ‘whole heart’ part makes me think of a Mumford and Sons song. Can’t remember which one, but still. Love it!

Okay, I’m awful with poetry and trying to figure it out, but this one was different. Maybe it’s your style, I don’t know, but I like how it was creative and literary without being cryptic and irritating. It’s really relatable, which I think anyone can appreciate. You did an awesome job with this, really. <3

• Have you ever known what it’s like
To trust with your whole heart
To love someone with all of your being
Only to have them destroy you in the end?

My absolute favourite bit. This is one of the most beautiful poems I've ever read, you're very talented. I adore this, really <3

• A lot of your imagery and metaphors were well-thought out, and well-executed! You seem to have definitely known where you were going with this while you wrote it, or else you simply pulled it all together very well as you went.

My favorite lines had to have been:
Have you ever signed a pact
Not with ink nor with blood
But with the chemicals of your own heart
To show how true your promise was?

and...

A fatal schism had begun to take form as well as
A severing of the heartstrings that could not be stopped.
Without warning the fissure had erupted
Into a catastrophe that would reap destruction

Also, the repetition of 'have you ever' and the multiple questions definitely cast a different sort of tone over the entire poem, and I think they made it seem even sadder, even more wistful, than it already was.

The elevated language you were using in various places throughout the entire poem made it sound more sophisticated than a lot of other poems with this general basis, which was definitely a plus.

This is probably also very relatable for people, as a lot of us know what it feels like to go through at least somewhat similar emotions and feelings, so it can kind of catch the reader's attention, you know? Connect with them, and whatnot, and oftentimes, that's what people look for in a poem. They want to empathize, sympathize, and feel like someone gets it. Makes for a better read.

So, overall, it was very good! Well-written! :)

• Wow, so good.

I'll be honest, I was a little wear of the poem after I read the first two lines, but once I hit the part about ink and blood, I was completely hooked.

The first time reading it I was a little unsure if there was a rhyme scheme since there was one at the very beginning, so for a while I was too focused on that.

And the poem was a little long. Even going back the second time I still got lost in the middle.

But overall, this was really good. It brought up a lot of emotion and feelings in me and I just loved the way that you phrased a lot of the lines.
