If he really loves you, he will understand and support you. You just have to trust and him and yourself to make the right decision. I'm still good friends with my ex, we have a lot of fun together. Just have confidence in yourself and do the right thing :)

I actually have this happened to me, sure it hurts a lot at first, but all breakups do. The way she did it was like a bandage quick and fast got all the hurt and pain out of the way. We later grew to be best friends after that and we were inseparable.
