Oh my gosh this poem is perfect for all of those upcoming brides out there. I hate how weddings have been turned into something that they're not. Instead of being about two people falling in love, it's about trying to impress people that you don't even care about and trying to one up all of the other people that you know who got married. Weddings don't mean anything anymore and I hate how people have ruined what should be such a special moment in people's lives. I really hope that my wedding is nothing like this, but I think it is hard to break the mold that we have all found ourselves trapped in these days.

Awesome. You're a really thoughtful writer yourself for getting all of that running though my mind! :)

Wow. It's true. Weddings become a joke at this point. People are already living together and have kids out of wedlock. So the wedding isn't For the marriage, it's sort of for the show alone.

And cohabiting couples have the highest level of violence. It's better statistically to get married first before living together.

This dating culture turns wife into a scary term for the future while young adults waste their time with girlfriends instead of maturing and getting married at a good age to have kids. People become objects we call girl friend and boy friend. And this sad reality of people saying the wedding won't last happens.

You really captured so much in this poem!

It's true. It's supposed to be about something else about two people become a couple finally, not about showing off and wasting money. I'm sure a lot of people's heart would be moved if the wedding was less expensive and the money was donated to an orphanage or charity. Starting the next step with charity and good would be beautiful.

Awh, this makes me sad at the thought that weddings can be like this. Not the age differences but that on a day where there's supposed to be love and happiness, people can be so judgmental and just fixated on things that shouldn't even concern them. But anyways, this was a nice poem! :)
