I love the slow progression of this poem that chronicled the two characters lives together. I like that we gradually got to see both characters age and the things that happened with that aging.
You can see the innocence of the child at 13 years old, and it's sad that someone so much older would talk about drugs around them.
I absolutely love the ending of the poem when the narrator confesses that the other character committed suicide. It was a great drop for the news and I like the feeling it gave the poem at the very end.
