I really loved this. It put my mind in a different place, reminding me of my heritage and my ancestors (Cherokee, not Choctaw, but the point stands)
There's always something so beautiful about different languages being combined to get a point across. I agree with Midna on this. Airy, but still powerful, which I believe is what makes this work so well.
I adore your use of the Choctaw language and how you incorporated it into the poem. It blended in really well with the English words and seemed almost seamless. It felt like a very soft and loving poem, and I can only imagine how it would sound in the spoken form.
