Seriously, I keep re-reading it, totally in awe of what's in front of me.
Firstly, I love the fact that it's all in lowercase with no punctuation. It adds such a great effect... depressed, can't be bothered with the basic rules of grammar. And also, I found it nice to add my own stops and emphasis in my head.
I like the recurring theme of coffee and newspapers. The two together has a very on-the-ball business-like quality, so the fact that the newspapers old and coffee cup empty... again with the effect.
And, I'm totally in love with the line "the scars that won't leave the risks they call home?"
