Obama is a failure as were the people before him.

This is unbelievably true. I love it, and I don't want you to think I am doing this because I have to either, because I really do love this. It is delightfully blunt and honest. Thank you for posting it.

I didn't really care who won the election and all presidents promise to make it better, Obama will just be another in a long line of failures.

There are a lot of things I really really like and a lot of things I'm conflicted with. Potentially, I could see this being one of the better poems I've read in a while, but there are a lot of things that subtract from it. The ideas are good (even though I'm pretty patriotic, I see where you're coming from) but they are presented in a way that just strikes me as too dwelling and repetitive, and even though you could argue this is America talking about itself, it seems like too much.

this goes above and beyond all of the cliches. I love every bit of fact and the style of how its wrtten. Kudos!

I like the spacing, how it adds effect to the tone and how you read the verses. And [i]damn the torpedoes, all engines halt![/i] is the best line I've read in ages. God, I remember '05. Fucking hell, man. *shudders* At least Obama's going to win this time, and then we can finally have someone with sense running this country. *files nails*
