Wow.. That was really good. And sooo true! I know i can relate to it. I agree, I think this can help people, so many people think that they are alone with what they are going through. I know I did. But now I know that Im not, and am glad I fought like hell not to do anything extreme. We need to get people to talk about it, I know its really freaking hard to do, but getting it out helps sooo much. Especially when you talk to some one that maybe you dont know, that is also going through it.
I already commented and read this, but you know... that was a sorry excuse for a comment. So I want to give you one that actually has a value to anything, my goal is to your pride and letting you know how good of a job you've done on this poem- how much it's true and how many people should read it just to get the point of how suicide or self harm are stupid, little, easy, selfish ways of getting out of you problems when there are so many other available roads you can trudge through to make it out of your issues. Because as that Rise Against song matches in the play list, we've all been sorry, we've all been hurt... but how we survive is what makes us who we are. And that's a true statement. Not one person hasn't felt pain of life, and had to pull through their hard times. Even the happiest rich kid's grandma died, giving them the pain that the orphan child feels, but to different extents. Well done in explaining the truth behind self harm and the harm others have done unto our souls.
i like how it was assertive...not...waaaaah...u know? im not good at getting this out, i know...but....u actaully make a point without trying to appeal to my pity or by grossing me out with overly graphic descriptions. love it.
I really liked this. I thought that not only was it deep, it was honest without being "pity me, please".
This is such a tricky subject and not many people can write in such a mature manner like you did.
