I can relate to this so deeply.
I recently lost my battle with my past and my shoulder is now riddled with new scars.
My biggest piece of advice is to talk to someone.
When you get that urge, that need to do it.
Call someone. [If you want I'll give you my number and you are more than welcome to call me. Anytime. I never have my phone off.]
But call someone, talk to them. Maybe about why you wanna do it or maybe just about the weather. It doesn't matter what you talk about, just talk.
    Distract yourself.
Write if you do that. Go out for a walk. Play a game. Something.

If you ever want to talk. Hit me up, I'm here a lot.
