Simple Plan and Avril Lavigne Concert

Simple Plan and Avril Lavigne Concert At about 8:15 Pierre Bouvier of Simple Plan ran onto the stage at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa on December 5th, 2007. Pierre's jet black hair was straightened and he wore a gray t-shirt with red sleeves and skinny jeans. Simple Plan's energetic ensemble included Jump, Perfect, Shut Up, and their newest song When I'm Gone. The band also payed their respects to the victims and their families of the local mall shooting that had happened earlier that day. Simple Plan hadn't toured in almost a year, and it was also the first time they had ever performed When I'm Gone to an audience.

Despite the occasional rough line or chord, Simple Plan gave off a powerful performance. The band [excluding Pierre] also walked to the sides of the stage and took pictures and signed autographs. The boys had an amazing concert and got the crowd riled up for Canadian punk-rocker Avril Lavigne.

Lavinge's dancers, wearing a black sweat suit with skeleton gloves, sprinted onto stage waving hot pink flags with Avril's known logo, a heart with a skull on it. Her portion of the concert consisted of complicated dances, along with countless crowd sing-along.

Avril Lavigne also had a moment of silence for the shooting, in which she got very upset and started crying. She walked over to her guitarist, he whispered something to her and then she walked to the back of the stage for a moment to compose herself. Anyone know any reason why she took it so personally?

Simple Plan announced their new album, which hits stores February 12th.

For all fans who are wondering, both singers were absolutely amazing. If you ever have a chance to see either one in concert, I have NO complaints!
