Pierce the Veil Rocks the House at Emerson

Pierce the Veil played five songs—three from Selfish Machines, a cover song, and Yeah Boy and Doll Face from an earlier album, A Flair for the Dramatic. Multi-colored stage lights flashed as teens jumped up and down to the beat. Most mosh pits were so out of control that security finally just had to give up.

Pierce the Veil first started in 2006 in San Diego and since then has toured around the world. In four short years, they have produced three album. Each member of Pierce the Veil played with his heart and soul Monday night.

Three bands also opened with Pierce the Veil: Silverstein - a local band from Indianapolis, A Bullet for a Pretty Boy - a metalcore band from Dallas, and The Chariot - a punk band from Atlanta. With wild stage dives from the amplifiers, The Chariot band members got the crowd off their feet and stoked to hear what Pierce the Veil had in store for them. The show was worth the $15 charge for admission.

Pierce the Veil is that one band you will see and will keep thinking about for days after the show. So far, nothing has been posted as to when they will return to Indiana, but when they do, go out and have a great time. You won’t regret it.
