I Was a Teenage Fairy

I Was a Teenage Fairy Barbie Marks is and undeniably beautiful, poised, and well-known model. Living in Los Angeles, her life as a child was far from normal. Her mother seemed to see herself in Barbie, thus wanting to make her daughter just like herself. Through her mother, Barbie became a model and although she was not pleased in being what her mother told her to be, she gave no remark. Mrs. Marks had not been able to reach that fame on her younger years and she pressured Barbie to be skinny and someone she did not want to be. Barbie just wanted to be the girl behind the camera.

Along her early childhood, she meets Mab, a very complex, difficult, and straightforward fairy. Barbie comes up with reasons to convince herself that this fairy was surely real and not some imagine she came up with. During her path Mab also seems to help Griffin Tyler find true love as he and Barbie have shared a similar experience with a certain photographer.

Barbie learns to confront her mother who seemed to not care when her own daughter was in danger. She also confronts the photographer and lastly her father for being indifferent towards her and leaving the family to start a new life.

I Was a Teenage Fairy brings two totally different worlds together, two different dimensions of entwined fantasy and actuality.
