P.S Read This Book

P.S Read This Book I never guessed that P.S I Love you was originally a novel, but I should have. I haven't seen the movie version so I have no comparison to make but this book is defiantly a book to read. The romantic flash-backs are lovely, and they are in small cute doses, which makes them bearable without being sappy. The story is strong but almost like a fairy-tale; leaving it open to expand.

The story of a man guiding his soon to be widowed wife with a years worth of letters, is a beautiful idea. Broken up by comedic situations that he could not have for seen, and recounts of her depressing grieving period make a great mix. A lot of the words used, in my opinion, were repeated to much, but apart from that; I have no other complaints. For a romantic comedy a lot of the focus is on her living her life again which is a very refreshing way of looking at this style of writing.

I can verify that it is the perfect book to read on holiday. A very light read that you can pick up at anytime and instantly get back into the story. The characters that Cecelia Ahern has created for the book are all so different but equally interesting. Out of ten, 7 1/2. Definitely rec'cd.
