Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment

Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment Warning: If you dare read this story, you become part of the Experiment. I know that sounds a little mysterious, but it's all I can say right now.

This is the story of Maximum Ride. When you first open this book you are shown this scribbled in message at the top, it made me curious so I began to read.

This book is the first in the fugitives trilogy later followed by the protectors series. It starts off with Max introducing you to all of her "family". There is Nudge, the talkative 11 year old; Fang, the sorta mysterious 14 year old; Iggy, who is blind and 14 too; The Gasman, Gazzy for short, he has a flatulence problem, then Angel who is the youngest and she can read minds. Max is the leader. They are all mildy normal but have 2% avian in there DNA (avian means bird) along with 98% human, which means they have wings and light bird like bones. They are rather stronger then regular humans and faster. All of them live alone far away from society, but quickly the story picks up and Angel is kidnapped.

The main plot of the story is them all finding Angel then trying to figure out who their parents are and why Max has to save the world, all of this while being chased by other hybrids called Erasers. Those are hybrids of humans and wolfs. The Erasers want to bring them all back to the School which is a laboratory where they escaped from four years ago where they were experimented on and kept in cages. Another important character is Jeb who was the one who took the 6 kids from the School, but he later disappeared and all the kids thought him to be dead. Ari is Jeb's son who was turned into an Eraser while Jeb was gone. Now Ari wants to seek revenge on Max for taking his father's attention from him away.

This is in my opinion an amazing book, it is well written and I literally couldn't stop reading it and once I was done, instantly wanted to get the sequels. The only complaint I have is some of the cheesy lines they have but it just helps bring all the characters personalities into perspective.

This was delightful to read and I'd give it 4.9 stars out of 5. So see for yourself and join the Experiment.
