I have to agree with the comment below. It seems like everyone's just reading vampire books so that they can bag on Stephenie Meyer's vampires. I mean, either way, it's fiction.
Well, I've never read any of his books, but your artical(sp?) makes me eager to read Salem's Lot.
I don't like how all vampire novels are set against Twilight. Yes, 'real vampires' have existed in books for decades... well, centuries. It's not a new concept, and I don't understand why so many people almost act as if it is, and feel a need to compare it to Twilight. I also don't understand why people use these books as a means to bash the more recent vampire interpretation...
Anyway, vampire rant over. The article's okay. I've never read the book myself but have read others of King's, so I might go pick this one up.
I friggin loved this book. but i gotta say, you totally screwed up this article. you should never write one in first person and state you opinions regardless if it is an editorial of feature story. you must stay objective and if youre writing an editorial you can write with opinionated words , but you just cant state your opinions. that just isnt how juornalism works. sorry if i sounded to uptight about it.
I think it should be given a perfect 10. King has this way of writing where you just can't stop thinking about the story after you finish the book.
The most amazing thing about his writing, in my opinion, is the endings. They're strong and thought-provoking.
However, my favourite novels of his would always be 'Hearts In Atlantis' and 'Different Seasons', especially the short story 'Apt Pupil' in 'Different Seasons'.
Ahh i read this book in chemistry last year. Well, instead of learning chem i read this book. Steven King is in my top 3 for favorite authors. Myer can't even compare.
