Across The Universe and Through Our Hearts-Godspeed.

In 2011 Beth Revis released her first novel: Across The Universe. The book follows the story of the young Amy, who is cryogenically frozen and accidentally woken up before she was originally meant to. She finds herself on a ship leading to an attempt of terraforming a new earth. But the ship is lead by lies and murder from the corrupt leaders. She and Elder (The second in command) search for the secrets that lead the ship.

I have personally added this to the top of the list of my favourite books. Beth Revis does a stunning job of brining back the classic sci-fi feel mixed with mystery and a shocking end. Highly recommended for any teen audience with it's slightly romantic twists. A post apocalyptic drama that keeps you constantly thinking and breathless. It's positively impossible to put down.

The second book in the series: A Million Suns is set to be released on January 10th, 2012. The story follows Elder and Amy in their quest of getting of the newly ordered ship. Will it live up to the true epicness of it's predecessor? I personally am not sure. I only hope that they discover new mysteries to keep the readers attention.

A third book is set for release in 2013. Shades of Earth is being held completely under wraps until then.

Beth Revis also has short stories with intention of release. After, and Shards and Ashes are both based on the same series. The first available later in 2012 and the later 2013. A book set for a 2013 release called Defy the Dark is a collaboration featuring Night Swimming a short story by Revis. Finally, Merry Sisters of Fate is published free online at livejournal.com
