Who Killed Kurt Cobain? (The Mysterious Death Of An Icon)

Who Killed Kurt Cobain? (The Mysterious Death Of An Icon) Who Killed Kurt Cobain has been called 'A judicious presentation of explosive material.' It starts with Kurt's childhood in the first chapter, and you see what a bitter sweet life he started with.

It also tells of some odd situations Kurt got himself into. When he was only two, a 78 year old man next door to the family complained to Kurt's mother, Wendy O'Connor, that the boy tried to bite his ear off.

A year later, the police came to the Cobain home, and said that the neighbor's cat had been tortured, Kurt was the prime suspect.

It also tells about the sadness in his childhood. From the year he got a lump of coal for Christmas, to his parent's divorce.

A few months before the divorce, he wrote a poem on the wall of his room,

I hate mom, I hate Dad. Dad hates mom, mom hates dad. It simply makes you want to feel so sad. Mom sucks. Dad sucks.

Kurt's mom's new boyfriend moved in soon after his father moved out. He stated that he was a "mean, huge wife-beater". He would give Kurt orders and expected them to be fulfilled. Kurt wouldn't always do these tasks with much enthusiasm, causing him to get a smack.

Kurt eventually moved in with his father, and seemed much happier... Until his father re-married. His step-mother brought two of her own kids along with her. Full of raging jealousy, Kurt screamed, "That bitch isn't my family!"

There is much more interesting information in this book, and it would take too long for me to summarize it all. Buy it or take the book out of the library, you'll enjoy it, Nirvana fan or not.
