Demon Thief

Demon Thief Demon Thief, the sequel to Lord Loss is in fact the prequel to Lord Loss, told from Cornelius ‘Kernel’ Fleck’s point of view and is set thirty years before the first book.

Kernel Fleck has never been normal, all of his life he could see strange lights that no one else could see; strange lights that he could play with, manipulate and piece together like a jigsaw. One day whilst playing with the lights Kernel accidentally opens up a window; which he disappears through for a period of days. Only Kernel doesn’t appear alone; with him is his brother, Art. Troubled by this his parents move.

After a year of living somewhat happily in a small town Kernel is confronted by an elderly local woman who is supposedly a witch; wary, Kernel continues his day as normal until the witch causes a disaster to occur at school. A window, similar to the one Kernel opened before his disappearance opens and a demon, Cadaver (meaning Corpse) enters followed by four 'disciples'. Kernel learns that the disciples leader Beranabus is a magician and him Nadia, Sharmila and Raz are on a mission to find a piece of the Kah Gash (a weapon which could destroy the demon universe) and that Cadaver might know of its whereabouts. Kernel joins the disciples in the hopes that he can rescue his brother.

Though Kernel is unprepared for the horrors of the universe of the Demonata, or the treachary that lays in store for him and his allies.
