City of Bones

City of Bones City of Bones, a first in the Mortal Instruments series.

Demons, werewolves, vampires.

No, don’t compare this to Harry Potter, or Twilight, it is nothing comparable to those books! This is by far, one of the best books I have read! You know, just when you think you can’t love a book more than Twilight, then this one comes out and it’s like… WHAMO! Right in your face, saying “I AM THE NEXT BEST THING!”

At first, I got the book because I had nothing to read, on a flight back to the states, so I popped by the bookshop in the airport and came across this amazing cover! Without even reading a little of the content, I purchased the book, and left the shop. Turned out to be a good thing!

City of Bones, tells the story of a 15 going on 16 girl, named Clary Fray (Clarissa Fray) and how the safe walls around her world, fade away when her mother (Joycelyn Fray) is taken from their home.

Clary is thrown into a world of darkness, and light, good and evil, and Shadowhunters and Demons. Which is different from her normal day at school, with her best friend Simon Lewis, and her art and sketch book.

Clary is determined to find out what happened to her mother, and along her quest to help her mother, she finds friends, and foe. Jace, Alec, Isabelle, Simon, Luke, Magnus, and many others, are on her side, helping her fight, Valentine Morgenstern, a Shadowhunter, gone mad.

If you haven’t read this book yet, go get your hands on it at your nearest library or bookstore. It is worth buying. Join Clary and her friends, on their quest to save the Earth. Check out, City of Bones, by Cassandra Clare.
