Halo: Anniversary

Halo: Anniversary, sometimes known as Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary (CEA), is a remastered version of Halo. It was announced alongside the creation of Halo 4 under Microsoft Company and was released on the original day, November 15, 2011, with the original Halo having been released in 2001. Halo: CEA offers high definition quality for the Xbox 360 and the players can see the difference just by a press of a certain control.

When playing in campaign mode, pressing the "back" button (the left button right beside "start") switches your view from HD to the original. The high quality graphics compared to the original in general is mind blowing. Starting from the setting to the armor to the humans and eventually, the Covenant, it sets the new standard for Halo, especially since gamers haven't seen quality graphics until the release of Halo 3.

Plot

Since it's just a remastered version of the original, the plot stays the same. After the fall of the human planet, Reach, remaining survivors upon The Pillar of Autumn, slipspace to avoid further attack by the Covenant when discovering a ring which we later come to know as Halo, the planet of mankind's enemies.

When the Autumn is attacked, Captain Jacob Keyes gives the gif of knowledge to an artificial intelligence character (Cortana) on the location of earth and other defense deployment material. He then awards her to the safekeeping of the main character, Master Chief.

After escaping the ship in a lifeboat and crash landing on Halo, Chief gathers all remaining human fighting power with the knowledge of his Captain's capture. Not only does he fight to save Keyes, but to self destruct Halo by activating the control room with the help of Halo's caretaker, though betrayal and lies are ridden upon his path.
