Halo: Reach

Halo: Reach is a first person shooter that delves into a special Spartan Op unit long before Master Chief (main character of the original Halo trilogy), arrived.

Plot

Being the prequel to the Halo franchise, this game took on the plot of a futuristic human society being locked in a horrific battle with an alien breed. This war has been waged by the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) and the opposing species known as the Covenant.

Planet Reach, a planet closely related to Earth, is served as a military resort as well as the home of millions of other civilians. Unfortunately, Noble Six, the main character whom our first person shooter plays by, as well as his unit must protect Reach from the invasion of the Covenant race.

Gameplay

Halo: Reach share much more upgrades than we sought back in Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST. With a brand of quick assassinations that I personally love to submit to as well as wonderfully made levels, I couldn't get enough of this game. I've played it nearly a million times and I will always be one to push for more.

One personal favorite of mine is the power upgrades in which you can choose from sorts such as 'active camouflage' to 'sprint'. These were wonderful additions to help keep the player alive during a firefight or to outfox even the "Legendary" campaigns.

Overall

Out of all the Halo games that I have come to play, this is one of my all time favorites. The cutscenes and dialogue were amazing and I can honestly replay the whole thing like a movie in my head if I wanted.

Bungie did a fantastic job creating a prequel that fit directly into this line of sequence and with a satisfying outcome and ending that left me rather teary eyed, I honestly can't say more about this than to recommend any fan of first person shooters to take a jab at this if you haven't already.
