This movie is based on the second book throught the looking galss, even though tim burton is a terrific producer this movie was just a bit below his standard. The movie was great but compared to the book the movie was not 'awesome'.

i know that it was originally a book.
BUT i was talking about the film, not the book. I was trying to put Tim Burton and the original movie together.

Alice In Wonderland: One of Disney's most beloved and classic movies from 1951. The plot was simple and pointless, but it was altogether a fantastic movie. Many movies, TV series, books, and bands have tried to do the movie justice, but have just not been able to.

Alice in Wonderland was a book first, not a Disney Movie. It was written byb Lewis Carrol and the point of the book is that there is no real point. It's a nonsence story (that became not nonsencicle) that Carrol told his neice, Alice and then later published.

I agree, i thought 9 was pretty good too, but it didn't do well at ALL in the box office. That's what I mean by 'failed'
AND something I forgot to add in the article: the most dissapointing thing in the movie:
THE JABBERWOCKY. Great poem. Bad portrayal.

I only saw it in 3-D and I was incredibly impressed, actually.

I don't exactly believe it built up to the hype.
Everyone was making a big deal out of it and came out lacking to me.
Alice was amazing, her acting and everything
The Red Queen was awesome, I really enjoyed her character and Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter was amazing, although his voice did get a bit into Jack Sparrow and all that, but it seemed to fit.
I loved the Wonderland he created.

But, it was rushed and it came out I don't know. It just didn't reach the overly awesome radar like everyone said it would. At least not to me.

I thought 9 was a really good movie. I didn't think it was at all bad.

I saw Alice in Wonderland in 2D but apparently the 3D version was better. I, personally, don't like watching 3D movies. I don't care how cool the movie is, I would rather see it in 2D. But, I thought this movie was wonderfully made.

I was sort of disappointed in it. I guess my expectations were a little high .. :/
I haven't seen "9" yet either. I am really disappointed in his movies lately..what happened to his movies like Ed Wood or Edward Scissorhands?
