I thought it was a great movie and agree with Kurtni

It wasn't new at all though, it was just actually based on the books instead of the crappy disney version.

@ColonelHansLanda - The movie had some similarities to Frank Beddor's "Looking Glass Wars" series, but overall the plots aren't alike, Burton was using a screenplay written by Linda Woolverton.

This isn't a whole new fresh take from Tim Burton's mind. He used the book Through The Looking Glass By Frank Beddor instead of the Original Alice.
