Thank you for commenting! I guess you guys are right about the the whole game/comic fan thing but if you are then you're more likely to like the movie just because that's the audience the movie is aiming at.

Great article, I've been meaning to see it for so long!
The only things were, like Audrey T. mentioned, you probably don't have to be a previous fan to enjoy it, I know plenty of people who fall into that category. That, and the use colloquialisms. But that's just a pet peeve of mine; I enjoy reading reviews more when they're more formally and professionally written.

I only found out about this film because of the game demo, which was very entertaining and fun to play.
Sounds like a good film from your review, going to have to check it out.

One of the things I like most about the film (and the comic books, to be fair) is that Scott Pilgrim is never made to be this weak character we feel sorry for. We can all related to him, certainly, but it stays clear of that “poor baby” vibe. Even though he's an awkward character – and really a 'geek' in his own way, he's always been pretty confident about himself. I like how realistic that is, that he's both awkward and a bit shy, but not ALL THE TIME, not in all aspects of his life. I like that we're never made to pity him.

Anyway, great review. The only thing I really didn't agree with was that if you're not a gamer/fan of the comic book, you may not enjoy the film. I do think that once you can get a non-fan to actually sit and watch the movie, they would find it enjoyable
