@ shim changmin I agree. I don't think he should be ashamed of it either. Especially for it being one of his first big acting jobs, I think he did a fantastic job. And the way the movie made was great. And the script. I mean, sure, it was a war movie, but it was more about the soldier's emotions of being in war with the possibility of dying every day and losing commrads and also the love story being Jame's character and that French girl. I don't know. Maybe people were expecting it to be one big epic dog fight or something.
@ shim changmin Franco himself said it is one of the least favorite he's done and is almost ashamed of it. I don't see why. I love it. I mean, it's not incredible or anything, but it enjoyed it.
@ Dancing.With.Myself i'm assuming that it gets hate bc of the fact that it's an american history movie? tho it does have a few facts to it (like the lafayette escadrille actually being a true thing) it's still a movie & not as historically accurate in a sense. all in all, franco never fails to woo me with his acting. i personally thought that this was great in my defense
Thank you for giving this a good review. I loved the movie, thought Franco was wonderful in it, yet it gets a lot of hate. Glad to know I'm not the only one who enjoys this movie.
