this show is a waste. there are only a few of the idol winners you still here about. and then all the other winners are wasted idols.

To be honest, after the first season I just started watching the try-outs and occasionally watch the finals if I like someone who is in it.

American Idol is a decent show. It really depends on the season -- who's on the show -- as to whether I watch or not.

I do think that AI is more of a popularity contest however. Sanjaya stuck around longer than necessary definitely.

American Idol is sort of take it or leave it really.

But I don't personally think it's very fair. I mean, some of the people have fantastic voices-but to have them suddenly become superstars, when some people have dedicated their whole lives to working up through the music business, seems somewhat unreasonable.
But that's just my opinion =]
