Max is a teen who has no friends at her school, and when she dies and finally gets some (read story to get it), she still doesn't seem to fit in. She's kind of stubborn, hardcore and can be cheerful when she wants to. She likes to bend/break rules set for her as best she can; she usually likes to get her way (don't we all...). Her favourite kind of music is alt. rock.

Tom is Max's annoying friend who's in the third grade. He knows things that most people shouldn't and wields the information happily. Usually getting in trouble with bullies, he's kind of innocent and cheerful... when he wants something. Other times, he tries to pretend he's the bravest kid in the world and stick up for his friends.
