Zak was in an accident of sorts at 14, robbing him of his sight. Since then he's moved on and learned to cope, though he still fears not being able to see the people around them and read their body language. He has no interest in horses and, to be honest, is quite scared of them as he can't actually see them, plus they're huge! Then he's sent to Grand Oaks Stable for a horse-filled summer camp. There he is paired up with the easy-going, fun-loving Willow as his guide.

Mark is one of WIllow's best friends at the stable. He is outgoing and willing to talk to practically anyone. He is also the boyfriend of Jason Fuller. They met through Willow. He loves his little mare Cookie, who is a 15.6hh black Quarter Horse mare.

Ally is short with black hair and a ton of energy. She's been Willow's friend since they both started at the stables and competes in both show jumping and dressage. Her horse is Jazzy Lynn, a 16hh flea-bitten grey Arabian mare who is 8 years old. She loves pretty much every kind of music and her favorite color is red.

Serenity is the drummer of Forbidden Roses and is 5' 6". Her and Willow aren't extremely close but they are friends. She hates rap music and loves the color pink. She has never been a rider and is entering senior year, like all of the others.

Nikolas Land

He is the the bassist of Forbidden Roses and focuses most of his attention on music and friends. As the second oldest of the band, he tries to help Jason keep everyone together and at peace. He's protective of his friends but knows where to draw the line and to stay out of a fight. He is dating Kennedy, a girl no one knows really well except for him. She is away for most of the summer with her parents.

He is the tallest and oldest of the group at 6' 5. He is the guitarist of FR and generally the lyricist, though he shares the duty with Willow. After getting out of his previous abusive relationship, he took self-defense classes as well as honing his previous fighting skills. Most people know not to mess with him. He's extremely protective of all of his friends and not afraid to bleed. When he gets in a fight, its usually up to Mark or Nikolas to break it up. He's also Mark's boyfriend.
