Marilla Elizabeth Colvin is the middle child of Charlie and Lenore Colvin. She has an older sister, Miranda, a younger brother, Mitchell and two nephews, Damien and Benji from Miri's marriage to Josh Asher. Rilla was born in Seattle, Washington but later relocated to San Diego, California with her parents and sister due to her father’s inheritance of the family fruit farm. She met her two best friends, Faye and Andy, in kindergarten. The three graduated from Rancho Bernardo High School in June of 1993. Originally Rilla didn’t plan on attending college, opting instead to work full-time at the local library in San Diego. However, under her mother’s pressuring, she applied last minute and got accepted into a handful of colleges in California. She is currently enrolled at Berkeley University of California for the upcoming school year, majoring in English with a minor in creative writing.

Faith Marie Dorian lost her mother during childbirth. She was raised by an indifferent father who later remarried an old childhood acquaintance. Because of the tension in her household, Faye would often leave and spend days on end at Rilla’s home, where she was accepted as another daughter. She is the most responsible and calm of the trio- she got a job the day she turned sixteen and she was the first to pass her driving test with perfect scores. Because of Faye's brains, it’s safe to say that both Andy and Rilla got through high school with her never-wavering help. Her entire high school career was spent working towards getting into Yale University, where her mother graduated, in an effort to have something in common with the woman who gave her life. It wasn’t until just weeks before her first year as a college freshman was to start that Faye realized friendship was more important to her than attending an Ivy League institution. She applied and got accepted into Berkeley University of California. She is attending this coming fall as Rilla's dorm mate, double majoring in philosophy and journalism. After her graduation from Berkeley, she plans on attending Yale to pursue her law degree.

Andrea Isabell Redding is the third child of seven and the only girl. Her other siblings’ names are Antonio, Leonardo, Gabriele, Niccole, Emilio and Mariano. Her mother, born and raised deep in the heart of Italy, raised her only daughter to have strong work morals and a deep sense of loyalty. The Redding family is tightknit and loving, welcoming both Rilla and Faye with open arms as unofficial members. From a young age, Andy has had a wild imagination and big dreams that involved bright lights and the city life. Her mother, in a desperate attempt to calm her rambunctious child down, gave Andy some scraps of cloth and a sewing kit. A few hours later Andy was sporting a lopsided shirt that unraveled only hours later. This sparked Andy’s deep love of fashion which turned into her career choice. School has never been her strong suit, she’d have flunked out long ago had Faye not patiently tutored her through her classes. The only thing that moves faster than her body or hair color is her mouth. It may seem like she is too blunt and opinionated but her heart is the right place and she would do anything for her two best friends. She is attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

Billie Joe Armstrong

Billie Joe Armstrong is the lead singer and guitarist of punk rock band, Green Day. He is one of six children and the only Armstrong child to not be in a serious relationship. After his father’s death, his mother, Ollie, remarried Adam Parker, much to Billie’s dismay. The two do not get along due to Adam’s belief that Green Day is a waste of time. Billie dropped out of high school just weeks before his graduation, deciding instead to focus completely on Green Day. The band is currently nearing the end of their contract with Lookout! Records, having already released two albums on the label. Billie works temporarily in a bar, Martin’s Pub, and lives in an apartment with his best friend, Mike Dirnt. They have a tabby cat named Zero who commandeered Billie’s bed upon her adoption into the Pritchard-Armstrong residence.

Michael Pritchard is the bassist and back-up vocalist of Green Day. He has one sister, Myla. He met Billie Joe in the cafeteria at Rodeo Elementary School at the age of ten and the two have been best friends since then. He moved out of his house at fifteen and rented a room in Billie’s house until his graduation from high school, when both he and Billie moved into their apartment together. He works as a waiter in a local restaurant when he's not busy with Green Day and he drives a beat-up Volvo that is being held together with duct tape due to a rather unfortunate incident involving one Tré Cool. Mike has an on-and-off relationship with his high school sweetheart, though at the moment, the two are not together.

Tré Cool is Green Day’s drummer. He has one sister named Lori who lives in Willits, California. Tré joined Green Day only recently, after dropping out of his former band, The Lookouts. He dropped out of high school in his sophomore year during his reign as class president, though he applied for and passed his GED exam. He is enrolled at Berkeley Community College, though his major is undeclared at the moment. Tré has a weakness for hot girls and partying, the latter which has made holding down a steady job rather unsuccessful. To make ends meet, Tré delivers pizzas in his ancient Ford Pinto. Tré still lives with his father, though he crashes on the floor of Billie and Mike’s apartment so often, they’re considering charging rent. He is single, deciding to play the field a bit before settling down.

Abigail Johnson, an Arizona native, relocated to San Francisco to start a job in her uncle’s office as a paralegal. She tolerates her job, even though she strongly feels like she’s been pigeon-holed into her career by her mother. When Abigail isn’t slaving away in a lawyer’s office, she spends her time exploring San Francisco and it’s neighboring towns with her friends. To those who don’t know her, she can come off as aloof and condescending and with her cynical, dry sense of humor and arsenal of scathing comebacks, it isn’t hard to see why. But underneath it all, she has a heart and is just a normal young adult. Recently she discovered Gilman’s Club and the band Green Day. And she intends to win their lead singer’s heart if it’s the last thing she does.
