Mother was a teacher at a Muggle Elementary school and home schooled Jade in Magic, until she was accepted into Hogwarts in England. At the time France was becoming infested with Lord Voldemort's minions and made it unsafe for the Castillos. Jade knew nothing about it and was kept in the dark until she never received a response from her mother 3 weeks after school started. Jade knows nothing about the disappearance of her father.
