Jack's sister, younger by two years. Always had a little bit of a 'thing' for Alex. Now she's long gotten over that, as the boy has since broken both hers and her brother's hearts. May is always willing to put up a fight for her big brother or her best friend, Lottie. Doesn't like taking no for an answer or hurting people in any way, but she knows she has done and is trying to prevent this from happening. She's only just speaking to Alex after the high school escapade between them, but is now seriously considering castrating him so he doesn't go sticking his *** into anything that moves, and breaking her brother in the process.

Jack and May's mom. All of Jack and May's friends think she's the most awesome mom to ever exist, and most of the time, May and Jack have to agree. She much prefers Andrew to Alex and has done ever since she met the pair of them. She trusts the kids to look after themselves and refuses to baby them like other parents do. Doesn't particularly get along with Charlotte, but appears to be fine with both Rian and Zack.

Jack's ex boyfriend from high school. Moved to Maryland from Florida aged seventeen. Attended James Madison University and then moved back to Florida aged twenty two. Retained a somewhat close friendship with Jack throughout the years, and when he receives a call from the boy he isn't all surprised. He knew Alex would do something stupid eventually. Now works as a session musician/songwriter in Tampa, FL.

Rian is one of the few friends that Jack's kept since his high school days. Recently married to his high school sweetheart Cassadee, whom he met back in tenth grade music class. Is renowned for being a giver of good advice, and is one of Jack's ports of call in moments of upset. But there are times when he's not there, and as soon as he finds out he wasn't there to help, he feels immediately bad about not being around.

Zack was one of Jack's closest friends. The last time one heard from the other it was a year after high school was over, just after Zack upped sticks and left for California. Alex's younger sister. A year younger than May, and had her sights set on Zack. She knows how her brother can be a jerk, and really hates him for it. Hasn't properly spoke to her brother since they were both in high school, ever since he broke up with May. When she heard about him dating Jack, the first thing she did was call up Jack warning him. Now she knows he should've listened.

Born in England; moved to the USA when he was seven, and met Jack Barakat. They've been best friends ever since. All through high school, Alex was basically the bane of Jack's existence. And when Jack was finally happy, Alex decided to go ahead and break his little sister's heart. And when Alex finally got what he wanted - Jack, that is - he can't keep his *** to himself and ends up cheating with some *** from high school. And so Jack leaves him, and Alex doesn't think he's ever coming back.

Best friends with Alex for as long as he can remember. Can be a bit of a *** sometimes, but he's good at heart. He's very protective over his younger sister. Doesn't seem to have all that many people he can trust, but Andrew and Cassadee are the main two. When he disappeared, Andrew was the first person he thought to call. Having dated Andrew in the past, the attraction is still somewhat there, but he knows if he goes further than hugging him he'll feel terrible, even though Alex did it first.

Was in the boys music class in high school, and has recently married Rian. Is very sick of being told she's married to young, she's in love and she doesn't care what any one thinks. Normally helps Jack and Alex with relationship issues, and tries to be civil to the both of them, even though nobody else seems to be.
