Christian Dillard is a fifteen year old girl who lives in northern Mississippi. She lives with her mother and older brother Nick. (They have a dog too.) Her grand mother is very close to her least favorite person in the world, but she deals with her. (Sort of.) She has three best friends. Trevor, Alex, and Bunny. Lately Trevor has convinced her to start an online journal which she wasn't too happy about. Unwillingly though she gave in and that's where you start to learn just what her story is really about.

Trevor is the goof ball best friend of Christian Dillard. Lately he's convinced her to start an online journal as a way of putting her thoughts and feelings out rather than keeping them bottled up. He lives with his father who works at the local hospital, his mother who works in pediatrics, his two little sisters who drive him crazy, and his cat Missie who hates all but him and Christian. She wasn't happy but for his sake she complied. Things you might not expect may come up about him in later entries in this journal of hers.

Danial, or Bunny as he is known by his friends, is the fifteen year old friend of Christian Dillard. He's a bit of an odd cookie and often acts very childish and playful. So much so that you would never guess all that he's been through in his life. He lives with his older sister and is almost always over at Christian's house. He is the only one besides her mom who gets away with calling her Chrissy.

Alex is one of Christian Dillard's closest friends. He can be a bit of a player but his heart is always in the right place when it comes to his friends. The love of his life is his horse Delilah. He lives with his grandmother mostly because his mother is a trucker. He loves to go to concerts with her whenever she's in town though. He doesn't make it a secret that he likes Christian but so far he's had no luck. (Much to the amusement of Trevor and Bunny who have known him since grade school.)

Nick is the seventeen year old brother of Christian Dillard. He's the typical older brother. He has his good times and his bad times. He really does love his sister deep down though, even if he doesn't always show it. He can be very blunt with people he doesn't like. He's the 'hot guy' at school but has never had a girlfriend since moving to this town because he loathes preppy girls. He detests his and Christian's father and once punched a wall when Christian was seven and had asked about him. His best friend is Jynx.

Missie is Trevor's cat. She loves only Trevor and Christian. She's the queen of the roost and she knows it. (She was named in honor of my friend Missy. <3)
