Mira is half hispanic and half German. She is good humored and caring of those around her. Family is very important to her and she is closest with her father. Having two older brothers she is somewhat of a tomboy, taking joys in playing baseball more often than most girls should. Mira loves reading stories, more particularly her favorite author Oscar Wilde. She is strong willed and often tries to keep everyone getting along because she does not like conflict.

Gerard is Mira's father. He is terminally ill and is known to be quite unmoving and stubborn except when it comes to Mira. Mira is his youngest and only baby girl, to him she is his world and the only reminder of his late wife Lucinda especially when Mira smiles. Other than that he knows Mira very well and both are incredibly close always joking around and having fun. Gerard is a good humored person much like Mira but when angry he can be quite scary. Him and Mira are very similar in personalities. Gerard and his older brother Frederick had a terrible falling out when he decided to move to America to do his own thing. He is full blood German and was raised in the country.

Frederick is Mira's uncle whom is a Lieutenant Colonel of the German army, he has been in the service long before Hitler came into power. He can be very strict and hot tempered but with his family he is very protective and soft spoken. Frederick is very much in love with his wife Catherine and holds his family high putting their needs first before anything else.

Catherine is Frederick's wife and Mira's aunt. She is very attentive and often a bit pushy with Mira's love life but only because she wants Mira to be happy. Her joys are decorating and seeing others happy.

Bridget and Darcy are Mira's trouble making twin cousins. They often finish each other's sentences and tease men around them. Being that their father is a high ranking officer of the German army it is only natural for them to rebel. Much like their mother, they like to butt into Mira's lovelife often introducing strangers to her. Both do have cause some trouble but at times they can be very sincere.

Will is Mira's younger cousin, he loves Mira very much. She was like a big sister to him that would teach him how to play baseball like a professional. Will often looked forward to Mira's visits because of this. He is very innocent and typically behaves very well.

Jean Claude is a hulking and fierce individual, he saves Mira from being shot by some Nazis seeing the potential in her. He does not know much of Mira's past let alone her real name he calls her Shep or Kid for the most part. They have been together for nearly a year fighting every chance they get.
