Jade hides her emotions behind a stone wall of sorts. She's very defensive and has a terrible habit of judging people, especially those of the male gender, just because she expects them to only be after her for one thing. She doesn't expect much when heading to Lutherville, but surprises hide themselves in small packages, in thise case, small towns.

Bailey "Jazz" Bates

The younger of the two Bates twins, Bailey is the more shy and quiet of the two. She prefers to hide herself behind her loud and socially friendly sister rather than step up and take a center spot. She isn't as good at hiding her emotions as her sister so when a tragic event presents itself in their family, Bailey takes it hard, thus sending her off to live with her aunt for a few months while she recooperates. But for Bailey, she doesn't know if Lutherville holds much promise in helping her recover from tragedy.

If you don't know who these guys are, then this isn't your kind of story. Alex Gaskarth: 18 Rian Dawson: 18 Zack Merrick: 17 Jack Barakat: 17 All boys attend Dulaney High School except for Zack who attends Towson High School. I don't think they need much more of an introduction.

Rian's girlfriend and new found friend of Bailey and Jade. She is sweet and caring towards everyone she meets, much like her boyfriend. She's the listener and advice giver of the group and tries to maintain a level head when dealing with the boys, and occasionally the girls.

The fun loving, trouble making member of the group, along with Jade. Her older brother and her have a good relationship that keeps the two linked, though they aren't as super close as some may suppose them to be. Jade and Bailey's new next door neighbor when they move to Lutherville.

Melanie's older brother and manager for All Time Low. He's obsessed with Mickey Mouse and can be very responisible (scratch that, he is the most responsible in the group) He's older than the rest of the guys by a couple years but hasn't gotten around to going to college so he lives with his sister and mom in Lutherville, where he meets Jade and Bailey

Aunt Clara lives in Lutherville, Maryland. She takes in the girls after they decide to leave town for a bit. She isn't really involved in the girls lives and tends to leave a lot because she is searching for a constant job. She's a hairstylist but can't always find work which leaves her flitting around a lot. She's scatter brained and doens't like to but into where she thinks she doesn't belong but can be there for the girls if they need her.

Kaylie Turnquist

Six foot tall, charming, delightful girl. Kaylie can start up a conversation and gain a friendship easily, but what she really loves is a best friend. Kaylie treasures friendship and loyalty the most, but knows her boundaries. She finds a special connection with Bailey and provides Bailey the support she needs to hopefully overcome her agony.

Lisa is Alex's on again off again girlfriend. She is a sweetheart and, after the awkward meeting of Jade, becomes friends with the girls. She is quick to realize the growing friendship of Jade and Alex and she knows where Alex's heart truly lies...but does he? Lisa will help him figure it out :)
