Lyla met Jimmy when they were six years old. They became best friends, which eventually turned into a romantic relationship. They were never married, but they did try to have a baby. It didn't work out, because Lyla found out she had a medical condition that prevented her from having biological child. She also became friends with the rest of Avenged Sevenfold and they were the ones that helped her get over Jimmy's death.
