Charlotte "Lottie" Clease is a vampire without any of the 'strengths' or 'advantages' of being one; she only has the weakness. Her smarts make up for it though; she's not quite as insane as most vampires, who are quite impulsive. She's left brained and all about logic; she often clashes with Seth because of he's "over emotional". She is introverted and a bookworm, but she never minds standing up for what she believes in. She looks down at humans as pathetic and stupid. Most importantly, Lottie isn't who she says she is, and she doesn't even know it...

Seth Major is a young, Christian guy from a wealthy family, who is attacked by Lottie on the morning of his first day of school. He's average in terms of logic, though he often fights Lottie with his heart and not his brain. She is "too much scrutiny, not enough intuition". He's a compassionate kid and enjoys making friends, yet at first he's shy. Turns to God in many situations, however, with Charlotte's appearence... he begs the question, "Is God even real?"

Sorcha is Lottie's elder sister... until she reveals she really isn't. She is a strong willed person and will do anything to protect Charlotte. She's definitely in on the big secret... actually, she knows every detail of it. But... what is the big secret anyways? Her vampire gift is extra-accelerated healing and her ability to use it on others.

Garnet is Sorcha's lover and fiance, though it was not by choice. He was a mentor to Jonah Clease and was in love with him for a short while. When Jonah was finished with his teaching, he promised Garnet that his first daughter would be his wife. Garnet has since been very kind and protective of Sorcha, able to balance her headstrong personality with his patience. He is also very caring for Charlotte, and contrary to everyone's belief, he knows more than the rest. He has kept his appearence of his roughly 25 year old body. His vampire gift is omniscience, which means to know anything and everything.
