Ava used to be a very independant girl. But after the disease (which you will learn more about), she has to cling to someone at all times to feel safe, and she becomes more distant. She always keeps her humor on the front, so no one sees what's behind it - endless nights, nightmares, depression and self-hatred are some of the few things Ava goes through life with. But after several months of rebuilding herself, Ava finally starts dancing again, which is a giant passion of hers. Her only job is being a choreographer for the dance team, but she also does some side jobs as an event girl sometimes. Loves coffee and cigarettes together, along with rainy days and small ice cream parlors.

The Cat

Ava's cat, that James gave to her. The reason he doesn't have a name is because it changes every other week - they couldn't decide on what to name the Birman, so they thought it would be best if they tried out the different possibilities. From then on, tradition stuck. Current names: Fluffy, Harold (Ashley's the only one calling him that, and it's the only thing she calls him), Psycho, Sparta,

Natalie is also one of Ava's closest friends. They met way back at an audition for a commercial where there was supposed to be dancers. But then, they canceled the idea of dancers in the last minute, sending all dancers out on their ass, resulting in the two girls bitching and yelling about waste of time, and how they were all a bunch of lazy assholes. They clicked immediately, and have been inseperable ever since. Is very outgoing, especially when it comes to the opposite sex - and she loves to give out the gory details to her girlfriends afterwards, much to everyones displeasure. She can be trusted a hundred percent, and would (almost) rather give up drinking than betray a friend. Protects them until the end, and loves to start battles and fights in clubs if people annoy her.

Fashionista to the point of insanity, with a very laid back attitude and a calming atmosphere around her, Céline is one of Ava's most precious friends. She has a mild European accent, since she is originally from France; is rarely seen without a hat or a cigarette between her fingers. Loves old black and white movies about tormentingly hurtful love stories, lazy people, sales and postcards from foreign countries. Hates children, lighters that won't work, people that are stressed out and loud people in general.

Ashley (or Ash) is Ava's best friend. They have been friends for even longer than she's been with James, and Ash always makes sure to use that as an argument when she wants something from Ava. Is sarcastic, playful and the kind of friend who would rather choke on her own spit than tell her friend's secret on. Is single, dances on Ava's dance team and studies photography on the side. Loves System of A Down and Atreyu, and does not have a problem with waking up half of the apartment building while blasting music. Has a crush on Robert Pattinson, and is a huge Twilight fan; something Ava was never able to understand. 'Party on to the break of dawn' - probably her motto, according to the people who know her.

James Hunt is Ava's boyfriend since she was 16, him 17. He is originally from England, and has therefore sometimes a British accent when he talks. It's not very noticeable, though - only when he's angry, happy or other circumstances where he doesn't realize it. He is the overprotective kind of boyfriend, but that is only since after she got out of the hospital. He stops dancing when she gets sick, but never tells her why. Is the joking, sweet kind of guy that would do anything to make Ava happy - that's why he's got her friends' approval.

Zack is Taylor's best friend, besides from Rob. He knew him before he got famous, along with Mark, Dylan and Kyle, which is why Taylor holds on to that group of friends so tightly: they're the only ones he can be sure aren't friends with him for the money or fame. Zack is sarcastic, incredibly lazy, a loyal friend and always up for a party.
