After that, he stole a unlicensed, black ’69 Mustang and took a job as a bartender. Not long after his twenty first birthday, he met Seraphina. Over the next five years of their meeting, he taught her how to shoot a gun and where to stab if she wanted to make it fatal. And they became two of the most wanted criminals. He's grown feelings towards her - feelings that he's never shared with another human being, but he refuses to let those feelings get in the way. With what they do, it's not safe to have an attachment.

Seraphina is one of the rare female serial killers. As a teenager, she was wild and lived for adrenalin - even as a young adult. In college she was up for just about anything. When she met Matt, she was intrigued by him. She is a control freak. After joining Matt, she realized that he was unorganized and she took control of it and started making the plans - planning what there next move and made sure they always knew what the next steps were. She is just as sadistic as Matt, she lives for the kill, and doesn't care much for the robberies. After five years of being with Matt, and being friends with benefits - her feelings towards him were stronger than she wanted them to be, but she'd never admit to him that she was indeed in love with him.
