Cheerful, charming and energetic. Brendon enjoys being part of the Dandies and is happy as William’s third in command. However he longs to know who created him and why, and wants revenge on his creator for leaving him to die. Doesn’t mind drinking blood but isn’t ever excessively violent. Retains some (flawed) morality.

William Beckett

Mysterious, enigmatic and paranoid. Beckett clawed his way up from the bottom of the hierarchy and killed his creator to gain his position as most feared vampire in the city and will do anything to keep it that way. Because of the way he came to power, he is aware that someone might try and do the same to him and he consequently doesn’t trust anyone.

A Vampire turned by Beckett. He hates Beckett and seeks revenge so, along with his three (still human) friends Patrick, Joe and Andy, he became a vampire hunter. Pete drinks a substitute for blood and hates everything about being a vampire. This has caused him to become irritable and moody.

The Hunters - Patrick, Joe and Andy
Pete's friends who are also vampire hunters. They share Pete's hatred of Beckett although they are not as obsessed with revenge as Pete is. Patrick is primarily the 'gadget boy' while Joe and Andy are fighters. Patrick is the one who created the substitute blood that Pete takes and he is currently working to see if he can find a cure for vampirism. (Picture is of Patrick)

The Dandies

Gabe Saporta

An old friend/rival of William’s who William presumed to be dead. However Gabe was very much alive and has spent the time since William overthrew Gabe (who was second in command) and their creator (the leader) building up a clan of his own: the Cobras. He has tired of terrorising his own city and so has come to pay William a visit.

The Cobras
The Cobras are a little bit like the Dandies but without the grace and the gentlemanly facade. They are a little wild and can be violent and unpredictable. There are twenty-two Cobras and their greater number balances out what (when compared to the Dandies) they lack in strength and abilities. This means that the Cobras and the Dandies are evenly matched.

Victoria May Spencer

A vampire who was turned as she was dying, to save her life. When her creator was overthrown by the Cobras the rest of the clan had to choose either to join the Cobras or death. Victoria chose to join the Cobras and has been with them ever since even though she doesn’t quite fit in. As the second Victoria in the group, she is always known as Torie.
