Fred is humble, a jokester, and the kind of person a friend can rely on for payback.

One of Maddie’s close friends. He’s a secret hopeless romantic, has problems with authority, loves experimenting with his hair color, can’t resist a prank, and will do anything for Maddie. Once before storming off from a classroom he told his teacher the only reason why he’s peeved is because no woman would give him some, a scene that landed him two weeks of detention. After the incident with Jeff he stuck by Maddie’s side with movies and ice cream at the ready. P.S. he is also the one that kissed Kelvin.

One of Maddie’s close friends. He is very protective of Maddie and knows how weak she is on the inside and so tries to be her strength. After the incident with Jeff he taught her how to fight, and gave her his lucky Swiss army knife in case the “jackass” ever came back. Trevor is usually found in detention for smoking or drinking on campus, but he is the most trustworthy person out there.

Maddie’s best friend and shoulder to cry on. Once dated Maddie, but it was just too weird for the both of them so they decided to just be friends. He is very close to Maddie and feels the need to protect her after her abusive ex-boyfriend (Jeff) shows up. Dennis had found Jeff smack Maddie around once and then started a fight to keep Jeff away. Dennis is loyal, a sweet heart, caring, and Maddie’s personal giant teddy bear.

When he was 13 he moved out of the neighbor and had a falling out with Cassie. Still he thinks of Cassie as his and can’t stand her being around Kelvin. Used to go to a different school, but when he heard about Kelvin and Cassie he got into a fight causing him to be kicked out of school. After that he moved back to Cassie’s town to take her back and keep Kelvin away. Suspects Kelvin likes Cassie and threatens to hurt Madeline if Kelvin doesn’t stay away from her, but when he finds out Cassie is dating Kelvin for the bet he figures him getting played by the girl he likes is the best way to hurt him.
