Garrel's quiet and shy. He hates confrontation and will do what he can to avoid standing out to anyone watching or giving anyone reason to have a problem with him. He is stoic and will take an extreme amount of abuse before breaking. However, when he does, Garrel is violently angry. He will use his considerable intelligence and ire to hurt those who have wronged him; his rage will not cool until this goal is accomplished. Garrel, the victim of the Submissive/Dominant law and a rough childhood in general, is best described as a container of highly flammable materials: his emotions. And once set aflame, they will continue to burn until nothing more is left to burn.

She is super fiery and defiant that some people wonder how she ended up as a submissive, but that's just her shield. In reality she's always been feeling like she's lost and suffers with feeling like she isn't loved, since she had never really "belonged" anywhere. Her parents put her in this experiment because they don't think she can amount to anything, even though she has done pretty well on her own.

Gio has always dreamed of meeting a sweet and kind dominant, who was willing to protect and treasure him for all time. He has spent the majority of his teenage life reading up on the submissive selection process and all his hard work seems to finally pay off when he is chosen. Gio has an easy going personality, but tends to get a bit vindictive when he is insulted or embarrassed by somebody. When not holding a grudge on someone, he's a chatterbox, who loves messing around and trying to get everyone to have fun. He has a very unrealistic view of the world and does not like thinking about negative things.

Nora Meyers is an introvert, everything you'd expect from a submissive wife, and a highly intelligent one at that. She's spent much of her life obeying orders, showing obedience, feeling like a prized dog in a fighting ring. Despite being in a polygamous relationship she has no real respect for the "family" dynamic that all the other families, including her own, seem to have. As the first wife, she finds comfort in knowing that she's easily the most trusted and has more of a say in what goes on within the growing family, but hides her shame in knowing that she'd rather be the only wife.
