Kaelynn has had no experience with the supernatural. She doesn't believe in the supernatural until Matt kidnaps her. There she is forced to see that the supernatural does exist and it is there. She is forced to realize that humans aren't on the top of the food chain, human's don't rule the world and human's aren't as powerful as they think. Humans are weak compared to werewolves and vampires. They can easily be crushed as Matt had told her, and she has realized that in order to stay alive and protected, she has to stay near and with Matt.
