Rhys is headstrong to a fault sometimes. One of the reasons he's been sent on this stupid mission in the first place. You say one wrong thing in front of the wrong people and suddenly your ass if being shipped off to a planet a couple thousand light years away. It's purely an informational trip, see if people can actually survive on this planet sorta thing, and he thinks he can do it. Maybe. His research partner is distracting for more than a few reasons.

Yes, his parents did name him after a constellation, yes he does get asked all the time. Orion chose this trip in a way, get away for a while and focus on studying a possible new planet for Earth to inhabit. It's years in the future and Earth is on its last legs. Without the ability to move planets the human race might just blip out of existence. Orion's part of a ten man team to head to a bio-home that took five years to build on a planet eons from Earth. They're going to live there for a while and prove that it can sustain human life as well as make repairs. They'll oversee building while more of the planet is expanded upon for human living. He's not as excited as he should be about being forcibly stuck with a bunch of men on another planet.
