Ellie Urquart is a half-blood born in Nottingham, on August 27th, 1979 to William Urquart and his muggle-born wife, Dianne Miller. Her parents were members of the Order of the Phoenix, and were killed by Death Eaters in 1980. Ellie landed in the custody of her muggle grandmother, Betty Miller, and together the two immigrated to the United States and moved to Wilmette, Illinois. Ellie attended Romona Elementary School and became an outcast because of her British accent; she only befriended one boy named Pete Wentz. They became close until nine years later when Ellie's other grandmother, Minerva McGonagall, reached out to fight for custody. Betty decided to give up custody in order to allow Ellie to become a witch and attend Hogwarts, even though she feared for the worst. In 1991, Ellie attended Hogwarts and was sorted into Hufflepuff just like her mother. Right away she made friends, becoming best friends with Cedric Diggory and Susan Bones. In her third year, with the encouragement of Cedric, she joined the Hufflepuff Quidditch team and became a chaser. She is now in her fourth year and has a huge crush on Cedric.

Minerva McGonagall is a half-blood born in the Caithness within the Scottish Highlands, on October 4th, 1935 to Robert McGonagall, a muggle Presbyterian minister, and his wife, Isobel Ross, a witch. Minerva attended Hogwarts at the age of eleven and was placed in Gryffindor. Minerva was quickly recognized as the most outstanding student with a talent for Transfiguration. Having learned Transfiguration Minerva became an Animagus, which is the ability to turn into an animal. Minerva also played for Gryffindor Quidditch team in her student years. After Hogwarts Minerva left for London to work at the Department of Magical Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Magic. Dissatisfied with her job at the Ministry, Minerva returned to Hogwarts to teach the head of Transfiguration after Professor Dumbledore became the Headmaster. She remained close friends with her former boss Elphinstone Urquart and in 1956 he proposed marriage to her until she finally accepted. Two years later in 1958 they gave birth to one son, that they named William Urquart. Her son William married a woman named Dianne Miller and had one daughter, Elphie Urquart. After the death of her son and his wife, she lost the custody of her granddaughter as she was given to her muggle grandmother. Minerva was determined to gain custody of Elphie before the age of twelve so she could attend Hogwarts and become the last Urquart witch.

Cedric Diggory is a half-blood born in Devon, England, on October 21st, 1977 to Amos Diggory and his wife. In 1989, at the age of eleven he started attending Hogwarts and was sorted into the Hufflepuff house. Right away Cedric distinguished himself as both an academic and athletic student. Cedric became really popular, two years later he met a first year named Ellie Urquart and they became best friends. In 1993, Cedric became a Prefect in his fifth year and received extra authority and responsibilities. He also became the captain and seeker of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team. Over the summer of 1994 and into his sixth year he starts dating Cho Chang, who is a fifth year within Ravenclaw.

Susan Bones is a half-blood born in Otley, England in 1979 to a large magical family who are very powerful and well respected. Due to her family's position, they were sought after during the First Wizarding War by Death Eaters and were killed. Susan started her education at Hogwarts in 1991 along with Hannah Abbott, Harry Potter, Ellie Urquart, Justin Finch-Fletchley, and now boyfriend Seamus Finnigan. In 1992, Susan's second year, she developed a crush on then-Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor Gilderoy Lockhart, which caused her to be off-task and daydreaming during his lessons.

Pete Wentz (from the band Fall Out Boy) is a muggle born within Wilmette, Illinois, on June 5th, 1979 to Peter Wentz, a muggle attorney, and his muggle wife, Dale Lewis, a high school admissions counselor. He is the oldest out of two younger siblings, Hillary and Andrew. In 1984, Pete started attending Romona Elementary School alongside Ellie Urquart. They became best friends as they were the outcasts within the elementary school; Pete began developing a crush on Ellie as their friendship continued into the fifth grade. During the summer after elementary school Pete was told that Ellie had to move in with her other grandmother who lived within Scotland. He became sad and exchanged home addresses with Ellie in order to stay in contact with her. Three years later, Pete is now a freshman at the New Trier High School while Ellie is a fourth year within Hogwarts. He still sends and receives letters from Ellie; they have managed to become pen pals. Pete has no idea about the wizarding world and has no idea that Ellie is a witch attending a wizarding school.

Hannah Abbott is a half-blood born in Ventnor, England in 1980 to an old family with famous wizarding ancestors. She started her education at Hogwarts in 1991 along with Harry Potter and Ellie Urquart. Hannah was the first new students of those to arrive at Hogwarts to be sorted and was placed into Hufflepuff. Ellie and Susan were also sorted into Hufflepuff as they became best friends. In 1992, Hannah's second year, when the Chamber of Secrets had been reopened, Hannah was one of the many students who believed that Harry Potter was the Heir of Slytherin after it became known that he was a Parselmouth.

Cho Chang is a pureblood born in Tutshill, England in 1979. She started her education at Hogwarts in 1990 along with Marietta Edgecombe, her now best friend, as they were sorted into Ravenclaw. She soon tried out for her house Quidditch team, and became a seeker. Now over the summer of this year Cho became close to Cedric Diggory and started dating him at the beginning of her fifth year.

Craig Dunn is a half-blood born in Inistioge, Ireland in 1977. Many years later in 1989, he started attending Hogwarts and was sorted into the Hufflepuff house. In his third year he became best friends with Cedric Diggory when they decided to join the Quidditch team together, Craig then became a beater. Within his fourth year in 1992 he started dating Tamsin Applebee. Now in Craig's sixth year at Hogwarts he is recognized as one of the most popular upperclassmen within Hufflepuff.

Gregory Munslow is a pureblood born in Bodmin, England in 1976. In 1988, he started attending Hogwarts and was sorted into the Hufflepuff house. Gregory became skilled in Transfiguration and later received his O.W.L. He's the type of student that takes pride on his status within the school and can be very mean about it, especially to those within other houses. Now Gregory is in his seventh year of Hogwarts and is taking a N.E.W.T. in Transfiguration.

Tony Otterburn is a half-blood born in Irvine, Scotland in 1978. In 1990, he started attending Hogwarts and was sorted into the Hufflepuff house. Two years later Tony became a member of the Dueling Club when it was under the watch of Gilderoy Lockhart, which was later cancelled. As a result, Tony started a new hobby and became skilled in Herbology. Now within his fifth year he can often be found in the second Herbology Greenhouse.
